Wellness Action
Wellness Action will not try to sell you a wellness product or sign you up for any kind of wellness health
service. It is more about "social wellness" or to be more precise "social unwellness". The basic
premise of this website is that many people are unwell, most animals, especially farm animals, are
unwell, the environment is unwell and the socio-political-economic system is unwell. This website is rather a call
to wellness action to remedy these cancerous tumours that have become our everyday problems that we ignore at
our peril. How do we take action? In a word, we "write" to inspire people to take action.
More specifically, we use social media tools to get the "wellness message"out to all the people we know and they
know. The tools provided consist of 8 different social networks focusing on some aspect or interest group around
the concept of wellness as we define it. More social networks are possible and will be developed as the need
arises. This is not another Facebook or Twitter.(We consider them virtual monopolies (as is Google) tied
directly to the vested interests groups that want to preserve the status quo). We use these social
network tools too as tools of convenience but our social networks are more about substantive issues such as true
democracy, sustainabilty, quality of life issues, wellolistic issues, that matter for the overall health and
wellness of people, animals and the planet.
Wellness Action.ca was inspired by a mission statement that I first developed for our first social
network Wellolistic.com.
Wellolistic Mission Statement:
Wellolistic thinking encourages a holistic attitude and gives you a voice
about issues that promote wellness for the body, mind, spirit, our society and the planet.
It includes being proactively engaged in the overall well being of society and
in your own state of personal health. Being “wellolistic” presumes a
genuine inclusive caring for yourself, your family, your society, animals and the
environment.
Wellness, within this definition, is a very broad concept including the health
and wellness of people, of all animals, the wellness of our politics, financial system, business
structure, the wellness of our planet, the sustainability (wellness) of our food system including
water.
In my opinion, this wellness action mission is served by providing social media
vehicles facilitating public WellnessAction . The more the public gets involved the better it will
be for the entire planet. If we truly seek personal and social wellness, we cannot simply hand over our
wellness destiny to governments, political parties, big corporations, or the military. Right now most are
doing nothing but making the wholw system worse with no real postive directions in sight.
Wellness is a huge subject so we broke it down into social media groups based on a
common purpose. Eventually, wellness leads you in many diverse directions because
people seek it in many different ways based on their experience and needs. There is really no one path to wellness
that fits all. General Health and Wellness (Wellobuzz and Wellolistic), Organics, Veganism and
Vegetarianism, Weight Issues, People with Disabilities, General World Politics, Green Movement and Politics, and
Animal Welfare and Animal Rights.
The good news is that you are in control and you can personally control your
health and wellness. It is not in the hands of any other person, only you. None of us will live for ever but we can
certainly have some impact on the when and the how. Our goal for all is that you live in wellness every
day so that you may be abundantly healthy and live a long active, productive life.

Politicolm This is a social network all about politics. Wellness action is very much
about people and people are very much about politics. Almost everything about health and wellness is within the
political realm. Issues such as pay equality, human rights, racism, jobs losses and job creation, family
welfare, education, food production, food standards, nutritional guidelines, environmental health, global
warming and climate change are very much part of the overall wellness of society and the planet and cannot
be ignored. Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/politicolm
All these social networks are free to join and all need you to join . Social
networks work best when the membership is fairly large so we can all benefit by members input.
